Iron Sushi was unimpressive. I dined in after running some errands, a basic observation is that most clientele order take out or delivery. The girl who was working behind the counter was sick and sneezed behind the counter. There was no food in site, however she was refilling the soy sauce containers and I did not observe or hear her wash her hands prior to serving my food. It should have been an indication. I ordered the sea weed salad which they keep pre-made in the refrigerator. The portion was TINY and the sea weed was frozen since it was freshly served in a styrofoam bowl from the fridge. The roll itself was awkwardly rolled and fell apart it attempts to eat with chop-sticks. The avocado was mushy as though it was ready for guacamole and not sushi.

Their dragon roll is pretty good, and strangely enough they have good french fries (my fiance doesn't eat sushi). Delivery can take a while, and prices seem to keep going up. Staff could stand to be a little bit friendlier.

I haven't been here in a few months but i love coming here. I am surprised at the neg feedback. I always order the amigo when i go cause its usually me and my boyfriend. We enjoy the food cause we r sushi lovers. neither of us have ever gotten sick from eating here. The Amigo has a bunch of different rolls and it takes about 25 min to make cause they start making them right there. They just don't have platters made already! I have never ordered delivery so i cant say anything in that dept. It has good pricing though for sushi. U can see their menu online

I used to order from here all the time but the quality and service has been deminishing. They are inconsistent with the delivery charge, I live a 5 minute drive away from this place and have had a $1-$3 delivery charge tacked on to my bill. The last time I ordered food from here I got the tofu steak and the beef teriyaki. The tofu steak tasted like it had been cooked in a dirty pan, tofu is pretty much flavorless so I could really taste something else on my tofu steak-that wasn't normal. The delivery driver is usually this older man that doesn't speak english and he is sort of a mess. I hate to call him out on it but when you are representing a restaurant your shirt shouldnt have grease stains up and down and your car shouldn't look like you are going on a cross country road trip. If you do order food from here, one of the few things I would get are the wasabi shumai. They are little shrimp dumplings with a wasabi wrapper. YUM.

***Not inedible, but for someone who loves and knows sushi, it's like a fast-food.*** (I'm posting the same review on 3 franchises I've visited and experienced the same from) They do have delivery, which isn't something a lot of sushi restaurants have, so I will be honest and say I have ordered delivery from them. But to be honest, considering the price after delivery minimum and delivery charges, and the kind of blah taste, I'd sooner go out and get better sushi. It's not bad, but not good, really -- nor creative, and I always go for fusion, so that's why this is not my cup of tea. And they do open til late, but I'd sooner go to Moshi Moshi on Washington Ave., which is much better and is open almost 24 hours.

This place deserves ZERO star! That outmost unprofessional manager in history of time. I received my lunch today, after waiting over an hour and my cooked sushi order arrived stale, soggy and all nasty. The spicy mayo was mayo with no spicy. Just a big glob of mayo was in the container. I called back after receiving my food to speak to the manager, he answers the phone saying "What" in Spanish. Really, that is who representing the restaurant. I explained what was the issue with my food and he replies. "So what's wrong with your food. I made it myself" he obvious has no cooking skills and hard of hearing or understanding skills. I work in a huge medical facility and believe you me, I will make it a point to express my opinion on Iron Sushi.

Cheap and Convenient (or at least used to be convenient). We've consistently ordered from here when we needed "fast food" Sushi over the past few years. The food was never stellar, but it was good, and never made me sick. The service however has recently gone down hill. We used the new "online ordering" once, after 2-hours, we called the restaurant and they had never "received" the order. Lesson learned, don't order online. However, the same problem is now recurring via phone orders. We would place an order and be told 40 mins later, then 1-2 hours would elapse, we would check in with the restaurant again, and the order somehow went missing or was forgotten. This happened 2 out of our past 5 orders. Convenience was the only reason we continued to order from here, but now that is also gone, unfortunately really is no reason left to recommend this place.

First of all, you have to know going in this place that it is a chain and will not be 5 star quality. That being said, I have never had a terrible experience... Wait... Maybe once. Once (which was about 2 years ago) I had to wait longer than I originally anticipated for my food. The prices at Iron Sushi are similar to those you would find if you were going to the sushi section in Publix. The quality is about on par with it too. I agree with what another reviewer said and this is mostly a take out or a delivery spot, but it's a great easy place for me to stop during a lunch break. You can be in and out within a half hour. Again, don't come here looking for set the world on fire gotta have it sushi... But if you're looking for a quick bite to eat... by all means!

Before I begin this review, I would like to express that Iron Sushi isn't a fancy establishment. It's more of a get in and get out spot. I was at the Starbucks in the same plaza. As I was walking out, I noticed menus. I picked one up and decided to go down the plaza for a quick sushi fix. The prices were reasonable, ($15 for a dragon + crazy roll). The place is small. 3 tables and a bar area. But it was clean and offered entertainment in the forms of TV and magazines. The cashier rang me up and I sat and waited for my rolls. It didn't take a long time which was great since I had errands to run. Moment of truth: tasting the sushi. The quality of the avocados used wasnt grand. (2 out of 5). The avocados were mushy. I was jibbed out out cream cheese on my crazy roll. And both rolls had several pieces that crumbled when I picked them up w/ my chopsticks. The taste was okay. Not the best I've had but certainly not the worst. It's a good place for a quick bite but not for a meal.

One word: disgusting. The food is STALE, very old. My chicken had a funky, almost spoiled-like aftertaste to it. The rolls are extremely sloppily done, fall apart, and the ingredients inside them are unbearably old-tasting. They are also too big to be eaten pleasantly in one bite as proper sushi should be. If you want eel sauce or other sauces to put on your food (which you're going to need since it tastes horrible) that is also extra too. I understand this is a chain establishment, so it's going to have its shortcomings, but this place is just awful. Stick to Hiro's if you insist on using a chain.

Over the years, Iron Sushi has gone downhill with their service and quality of food. The last time I went, I had the sushi cake and oh boy... it was like a bomb to my stomach. First of all, the girl refused to switch ONE of the rolls I didn't like in it (the cake has like 5 different types of rolls). I understand you can't, don't want to, etc etc but I mean... I was willing to pay the difference. Anyway, she was a total witch about it. The spicy mayo is soo not spicy, it just... mayo with coloring, if you will. The only good thing about this was that it was a lot of us eating the sushi cake, so I didn't have to eat THAT all by myself. It was disgusting and poorly made, it looked as if they had thrown in a bunch of rolls into a pile, total waste of my money. NEVER. AGAIN. Oh and the overall pricing is good... if you're one of those people that will settle for mediocre $4 sushi rolls. Don't expect much from them

I knew it, I knew that something was wrong with the ginger dressing. I had to ask for some lemon to finish the rest of the salad but the lettuce itself was unappetizing. The menu changed, this time with no details of what the food was. Would hate to ask the person what they included over and over. We just went with the usuals, one was a dragon roll and the other was a spicy tuna. When we decided to look for another roll, the two girls at the front weren't making eye contact and were constantly chatting up like we were ignored. This annoyed especially Ralph. I saw a dog tied to a table outside the window next to us, later realizing it was one of the girls' pet. I felt too bad for the doggie right there. Why did I come back here at all? It was the closest location and wanted to have a quick bite with Ralph before I got back to my finals. And his car was at the shop on 163rd. Was it under new management? It doesn't seem to be improving at all.

The only positive thing I have to say about this place is that we didn't get food poisoning. The chicken teriyaki was unidentifiable as chicken. The ginger dressing was bitter and tasted like onions. The fish was dried out and unappetizing. The prices were high enough that I wanted to re-examine the receipt, but I think they wrote it out in japanese because I couldn't decipher a single word or number except the heavily circled total at the bottom. When it comes to raw fish, I'd really rather not play russian roulette with this place! ~Jewel

I am a big time sushi lover and Iron Sushi used to cut it for me.. Since I started going to other sushi places, Iron Sushi lacks in quality by comparison. It takes a while to deliver, even if you live close to the restaurant and the gyoza dumplings are always cold when they do arrive. The miso soup is pretty good. I guess you get what you pay for here, but I have definitely had better!

The open kitchen( where they do the sushi) is so dirty, the floor, the cabin, the trash can is filled with the black grease... Feel . Mr.Waiter if you be more nice to try to help me... Not saying " as I said " that many time... I think we as customer will feel better.

Worst sushi I've probably ever had!! I ordered from this place one time it was pouring and I didn't feel like driving to my usual sushi spot, & never again. Sushi was soggy and gross/ delivery took forever. You can get better sushi at the Publix on 183rd don't waste your money here...

Love the food but hate the register girl. If girl that takes your order smiles more and is more customer friendly I would rate it a higher rating and doesn't give attitude when corrected on a simple order .

I'm giving away 3 Stars because the food is actually good. The staff is usually very rude and slow, but the salmon bowl is yummy. If you want to eat really good sushi, you should go to Iron Sushi on Washington in South Beach. They are very friendly and the food tastes AMAZING. If you are in a rush, make sure to call and order something for pickup, because you will have to wait about 15-25 minutes for your food, depending on how packed it is. Don't waste your time at this location, go directly to the one at the beach. We've been eating there since 2012 and it tasted good every single time.

I want to make an order then pick up so I call here on my way. But someone answer it just say hold on and then no sounds. It's only two staff here that's can understandable, but business is business. Once your open it, you must treat customer like customer, seriously. And right now, I'm still waiting, over half hour for a sushi package...don't be come, really! This is my last time be here!!!

Unbelievable....I placed an online order, waited an hour 1/2, I called and JJ tells me "oh, I'm sorry.. We did not get you order online" I gave her the order # and told her online it said completed. She then changed her lying words and said "oh, our computer is very slow, maybe next time after u order online, u could phone in to make sure" 1) with technology I should not have to phone in to ck, 2) I have no respect for an establishment I am giving money to, to lying to me and not owning up to it when it was address. NEVER NEVER AGAIN... Lack of respect for customer! This is what happens when u r too lazy to leave the couch to get ur food, u get what u pay for.... Poor Quality!!!!

Pros: - Dirt cheap for Japanese - They deliver Cons: - Quality is mediocre but passable when delivery of non-pizza food is desired. Avoid anything raw fish, none of it is fresh and the stank needs to be covered in sauces to drown it out. California rolls and other fried rolls should prove safe. - The service is abysmal. Whoever does the hiring doesn't pay any attention to the terrible attitudes of their staff and delivery drivers. Thus, this is not a customer-oriented business, just sushi on the cheap, delivered. Most recent example of many bad experiences with their staff: Ordered delivery for 8 people last night and they don't bring 2 orders of spring rolls. I ask for refund and the delivery driver calls them. They inform me they made up for the $7 in extra sauces! Then I say that's ridiculous and the delivery driver yells at me and says, "give me a tip or let me get out of here, I don't care about your spring rolls". That's the service you can expect. Outside of that, the beef bowls and California rolls were good.

The quality of the food is poor, meals are not consistent, and the employees are not friendly even when you go in with a smile. First impressions are fine but when you truly look around you realize how dirty the place is and how little the staff cleans during their shifts. In fact I don't see the employees doing much other than grudgingly making food or ringing people up. I work near by and eat here when I need food and want something different from my every day. I have to say that this is a step up from the gas station McDonald's across the street but still not at all healthy. If you have a weak stomach DON'T EAT HERE!

Where do I start, this is the worst sushi I have ever had in my life. the order took 1:45mins to get to where I was, when it's merely 10mn away. When I finally got the food, the spicy mayo to say the least about it wasn't even mixed. The fish was so nasty , and warm, and the shrimp tempura was cold. Half my crew got sick after eating this. The driver was cursing in Spanish at the front desk of my job in front of our guests! When I called to complain about my order they said there was no manager on duty. This is the worst place in Miami !!!! Hands down !!!

This review is for the owner/manager: Train your employees right! The girl who answered the phone on Friday May 8th at 7:05 was SO RUDE, I ended up canceling my order because I felt so offended. I will never order from here again.
